Causes of blown fuse of high voltage fuse

1) The fuse has mechanical damage or poor contact; 2) The winding of the blown phase has a severe turn-to-turn short circuit;

3) Metal grounding or arc short circuit occurs in the load side line of the high-voltage current-limiting fuse and the lead wire of the transformer insulation bushing.

After the one-phase fuse is blown, the transformer should be inspected after power failure. If no abnormality is found, the fuse can be replaced, and the power can be tested in the empty state of the transformer. After monitoring the normal operation of the transformer, it can be operated with load.

(2) Causes and inspections of blown two-phase fuse:

1) A two-phase metallic short circuit or arc short circuit occurs at the load side line or the transformer primary side insulating ceramic high-voltage wall bushing, causing a fuse; 2) Transformer-two phases in the secondary winding have an interphase short circuit or the two-phase winding is severe Short circuit between turns;

3) Two-phase short-circuit or two-phase short-circuit at the secondary side load of the transformer, and the secondary side protection switch refuses to operate.

After the two-phase fuse is blown, you should first check the high-voltage lead and the insulation for discharge traces. At the same time, the high-voltage load switch should pay attention to whether the transformer is overheated, deformed, or sprayed. The internal fault of the transformer can be judged by the method of measuring the DC resistance of the three-phase winding or measuring the insulation resistance of the DC bridge. If the internal fault of the transformer is verified, the transformer should be overhauled;
