Outdoor Fuse Cutout

Outdoor fuse cutout is an outdoor high voltage protection electrical appliance. It is installed on the high voltage side of the distribution transformer or on the branch trunk of the distribution line, and serves as the short-circuit, overload protection and distribution current of the transformer and line. The falling fuse is composed of insulating bracket and fuse tube, and the elastic auxiliary contact and arc extinguishing cover of the tension load falling fuse are used to divide and close the load current.

When the drop fuse is in normal operation, the fuse tube forms a closed position with the help of the fuse tensioning. When the system fails, the fault current causes the fuse to fuse quickly, forming a parallel arc. The arc extinguisher tube is charred by the arc, decomposing a large amount of gas, resulting in high pressure in the pipe, and blowing along the pipe longitudinally. At this point, active and static contacts are still in contact state. The contact is pulled by an insulating rod to assist the contact separation. An arc is produced between the auxiliary contacts. The arc is elongated in a difficult slit. At the same time, the arc extinguishing position produces gas. When the current passes through zero, the arc is extinguished.
